The client asked for strong and identifiable connections between the sleek modern additions and the existing local vernacular style Building.

The rivers of gold ceiling pays tribute to the significant contribution of the gold rush, in making Maryborough the city it is today.

Maryborough is said to have held its position on the map through the involvement of the port city for trade as well as the settlement of many immigrants during the gold rush in the second half of the 1800’s.

The ceilings’ meandering curves, glow with gold, as they wind through the Returned Services League Club gaming room.
