The wine industry seeks the quality of its products through the use of TTM Rossi’s REPS metallic cloth in the wine filtration process.
All wine lovers, when they taste it, expect to deal with a quality product to be enjoyed and appreciated. For this reason the filtration process is absolutely important.
Filtration is the physical-mechanical operation that separates the solid particles from the liquid in which they are dispersed. Generally the liquid destined for this process is called turbid. The latter will later be called filtered or permeated. To obtain the filtration it is necessary to generate a pressure or depression gradient and to have a suitable filtering medium.

A good filter medium must have the following characteristics:
- Resistance to pressure gradient
- No assignment
- High capacity to retain particles
- High mechanical strength
Part of the answers to these needs is given by TTM Rossi metal mesh. These are used, for their characteristics, in the rotary filters used in the degreasing and brightening of musts and wines.
The product used for these machines is the REPS A316.
It is a wire mesh in stainless steel, resistant to corrosion, with warp yarns having a larger diameter than those of weft. It is a stable and pressure-resistant metal mesh and has a high degree of filtration. Thanks to the quality of this made in Italy product , the result obtained with the machines that use it, can only be sublime.
