WHAT IS AND WHERE COMES
Chocolate is a food derived from cocoa beans and its consumption is widespread throughout the world.
To obtain this product, the cocoa must be processed starting from the milling of the cocoa beans so as to liquefy the butter present in them.
What we get from this first operation is a thick paste called cocoa paste and then pressed to obtain the so-called cocoa butter. What remains after pressing is called cocoa cake and it is from this that it is possible to obtain cocoa powder through another grinding process.
CHOCOLATE AND METAL MESH
In the process of pressing the cocoa paste seen previously, are used filter discs in metal mesh. The latter are, in fact, inserted into hydraulic presses which, at high pressure, compress the cocoa paste against the filtering disc allowing to liquefy and separate the cocoa butter.
These very important filters in wire mesh, which are produced by TTM Rossi company, are made of stainless steel so as to guarantee greater resistance to a better level of cleanliness and hygiene and ensure a very good quality product.
CHOCOLATE AND HEALTH
There are numerous positive effects of chocolate on the health of those who consume it. In particular, dark chocolate is one of the major sources of favanoids, that is, those antioxidants found in foods of plant origin. Some of the positive effects of chocolate intake are:
- Protection from cardiovascular diseases.
Thanks to its components, chocolate, in addition to slowing down the aging process, has the advantage of lowering cholesterol and blood pressure levels. - Helps fight the symptoms of depression.
Chocolate contains the serotonin which is an excitatory neurotransmitter; this is the reason why this food is often called a “natural antidepressant” - It has a fair content of fibers, vitamins and minerals.
